Managed Retreat Conference, 19-21 June 2019, New York

From the 19-21 June 2019 our doctoral researcher Lena Reimann was at the Managed Retreat Conference in the Earth Institute of the Columbia University in New York. There she held a presentation with the title «Potential sea-level rise impacts on internal migration in the Mediterranean region — Analysis of different adaptation strategies».

4th European Climate Change Adaptation conference, 28 - 29 May 2019, Lisbon

During the European Climate Change Adaptation conference, held from the 28 until the 29 May of 2019 in Lisbon, our doctoral researcher Bente Vollstedt held a poster presentation that was prepared by her, Dr. Jana Koerth and Prof. Dr. Athanasios T. Vafeidis. The title of this poster was «Applying the Living Lab approach for climate services. A case study example from a Baltic coastal city.»

The General Assembly of the European Geoscience Union 2019

From the 7.4. until the 12.4.2019 our group leader Prof. Dr. Athanasios Vafeidis and the doctoral researchers Joshua Kiesel, Sara Santamaria-Aguilar, Leigh MacPherson and Claudia Wolff were at the General Assembly of the European Geoscience Union of 2019 in Vienna, Austria. There they held presentations regarding the coastal processes in the UK, Greece, Argentina and Germany.

  • Claudia Wolff, Athanasios Vafeidis, George Vafeidis: Spatially explicit urbanization projections for the Greek coastal region.
